National Symbols
The National Symbols of Xuande-Xiphoi are symbols of the nation and symbols of Xuande-Xiphoi. The use of these symbols may be freely available for the use of all people, and some are reserved for use by the Xuande-Xiphoian Government.
Seal of the Republics & Kingdom
The Seal of the Republics & Kingdom is the unifying heraldic symbol of Xuande-Xiphoi and is the primary symbol of identification of the Republics & Kingdom Government.
The Seal is the formal symbol of the Republics & Kingdom and signifies authority and ownership. It is used by Xuande-Xiphoian Government departments and agencies, statutory and non-statutory authorities, the Parliament, courts and tribunals. The Seal is a circle with a cobalt blue and white border, with an internal "fortress wall" in cobalt blue. Twenty-four merlots are made in the wall, representing the unity of the 24 Republics and Kingdom facing outwards to the world. The central emblem is the Century Sun over a field of white, a historic symbol of Xuande-Xiphoi. Individuals can apply to Prime Minister's office for permission in writing to use the Seal. The Prime Minister has discretion to grant permission in limited circumstances, such as for education and for Xuande-Xiphoian teams competing in international competitions. |
The Century Sun
The Century Sun is considered the unifying symbol of Xuande and Xiphoi. Independent landings of Gholgothan and Pasifikan settlers utilised flags and banners with Suns, both with and without faces, and it was agreed that Customs and Excises paid in Xuande and Xiphoi in the pre-Forum period would be stamped with a Sun, depicting facial features. As a unifying symbol, it was used as the cap badge of the Customs Gunboat Service, and gained general community acceptance as a symbol of Xuande and Xiphoi. It is named the Century Sun as it's use was established for a period of at least 100 years on 1 January, 1500.
It is a highly recognisable international emblem, and is utilised for formal and informal purposes to represent Xuande-Xiphoi. The Government of Xuande-Xiphoi publishes one main design, detailed below.
The Century Sun is taken to be representative of Xuande-Xiphoi's long history of commerce and economic success, as well as the warm acceptance of entrepreneurs, travellers, and visitors into the country.

Xuande-Xiphoian Government Logo
The Xuande-Xiphoian Government Logo is reserved for Government use. The Xuande-Xiphoian Government decided in 1981 that common branding would apply to all Xuande-Xiphoian Government departments, offices, and agencies.
A common, easily recognisable brand ensures clear and consistent branding across Xuande-Xiphoian Government departments and agencies. The Government logo includes the foundational branding as being a part of the Xuande-Xiphoian Government (however the phrasing Government of Xuande-Xiphoi may be substituted for appropriate branches of Government), under the Seal of Xuande-Xiphoi. Secondary and additional lines are included below the text in regular font as per authorisations, see below examples.
A cobalt blue horizon forms the bottom of the image. Logos may be depicted in black and white where appropriate by using the monochrome Seal and monochrome horizon.

National Flag and Ensigns
The Flag of Xuande-Xiphoi was instituted as the Flag of the Forum of Xuande & Xiphoi at the Forum's establishment in XXXX. The flag was designed by Cecil Gordon, a bank clerk from Oppentin, who also designed the flags of Osenthest and Tatamanesos. The flag has been used as the official flag of the Forum throughout the Forum's lifespan and was established as the flag of Xuande-Xiphoi in the Amalgamation of 2009.
The flag was designed and approved during 1899, and was first flown at the Legislative Council Building in Revnami on 7 September, 1899. The flag was unfortunately lost to history, as it was stolen two days later. The flag was first flown as the flag of a single nation simultaneously at the Government Houses of the 24 Republics and Kingdom and at the Legislative Council in Revnami on 21 July, 2009.
The Flag of Xuande-Xiphoi is a flag of White surmounted by fortress walls in Cobalt Blue. The Century Sun is placed centrally on the flag in full golden colours.
The fortress walls are depicted as outwards facing, representing the unity of the 24 Republics & Kingdom against external dangers and challenges. The Century Sun has 24 strong rays and 24 radiant waves, and there additionally 24 merlons (extruding parts) along the fortress wall. There are 8 merlons on the top and bottom of the flag, and four to each side. Each merlon and each sunray set represents the 24 Republics & Kingdom.
